No Prey PC demo & Spoilers

Prey is an upcoming first-person action-adventure video game developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda.

Bethesda are releasing a demo April 27th for PS4 and Xbox One but there is not going to be a PC demo for Prey. This is a big problem since you can't test how it runs on your PC which is most definitely going to effect in PC pre-orders and sales of the game. The game is going to release May 5th.

So why there is not going to be a PC demo? One of the reasons could be that Bethesda will use Denuvo in Prey and doesn't want to give cracker groups a head start.
Also Arkane’s previous game Dishonored 2, had big performance issues on PC but Co-creative director Rafael Colantonio says in an interview that Prey will be "really flawless when we ship" on PC, thanks to lessons learned from their last title, plus more QA time and a different, better-understood engine.

SPOILERS

You play as Morgan Yu, you awaken aboard the Talos I in the year 2032 and must uncover the secrets hiding in the depths of the space station while being hunted by the mysterious alien force known as Typhon that has taken over space station.

The player will be able to select certain attributes of Yu, including gender, and decision made by the player will affect elements of the game's story.

Weapons

What I gathered so far about Prey, you are not going to be armed to the teeth with weapons since Talos I is a corporate research facility in outer space. The weapons you might come a cross are powerful close-quarter S4 Tactical Pump Shotgun. PPN silenced pistol, Disruptor Stun Gun, a non-lethal option. Industrial Wrench because every game needs a melee weapon. GLOO Cannon, which fires a stream of quick-hardening foam. The gun can also be used to create platforms to climb up walls. Q-Beam, the weapon supercharges an enemy with unstable energy, and can trigger an explosive chain reaction on multiple Typhon in close proximity.

There are at least 10 foes in the game that i know of, Weaver, Typhon, Phantom, Poltergeist, Technopath, Telepath, Cystoid, Mimic, Nightmare and Operators.

Gadgets

Recycler Charge,  like a black hole granade that grabs everything in and spits everything out in pieces, if you are not careful it can grab you as well if you are too close.

The Typhon Lure, Lure's psycholuminescent light attracts Typhon and Mimics, drawing them together and away from you.

Gear

The TranScribe lets you communicate with others aboard Talos I, look over notes and keep a tab on your inventory. It’s also how you manage your abilities both human and Typhon.

Artax Propulsion System allows you to navigate through zero-G environments both within and outside of the space station and perform jump-gliding maneuvers in normal gravity areas.

Psychoscope is the key to unlocking alien abilities. You can only learn alien abilities by scanning them while they are still alive which could be difficult. You can also stay full-human and not install any alien powers. Scanning Typhon reveals some interesting backstory and some Typhon vulnerabilities

Abilities

Can't be sure if these are 100% correct or even in the game.

Kinetic Blast: can be used in combat to push away anything within range while dealing a chunk of damage. Morgan can also use the ability to rocket into the air and reach elevated overhangs

Leverage: lets Morgan to pick up heavy objects in the environment to clear a path or weaponize the object by tossing it at a foe.

Lift Field: allows you to create a reverse gravity field that sends objects and enemies skyward.

Machine Mind: allows Morgan to gain control of Operators and turrets.

Mimic Matter: lets Morgan Yu turn into everyday objects, like a cup or a dumpster. While in this form, Morgan can move around the environment, solve puzzles and even use other abilities.

Phantom Genesis: allows Morgan to turn human corpses into Phantoms to fight by their side.

Mindjack: lets you telepathically assume control over another human or a Typhon creature.

Psychoshock: lets Morgan to create a powerful ball of psionic energy to physically hurt biological targets. It also temporarily disables the target's ability to use psi powers.

Remote Manipulation: lets Morgan Yu retrieve or interact with distant objects by using his or her mind. If used in conjunction with Leverage, he or she can remotely pick up or even throw fridge-sized objects across the room. If used in conjunction with Repair, broken machines can be fixed from a distance.

Superthermal: creates a fiery proximity trap, which when triggered, creates a column of super-heated plasma dealing lots of damage to whoever triggered it.

Prey seems very promising.
