Getting ready for Outlast 2.

Outlast 2 release is just days away and I'm so excited that I can't wait so I get my head ready for outlast 2 by playing both the Outlast and Whistleblower DLC again. Its been more than a few years since I played both of them.

If you are unfamiliar with the game, outlast is a stealth horror game made just to make the player suffer. You are a reporter who gets a tip from an anonymous informant that something odd is going on at a mountain asylum. Obviously you are going there to investigate, because who wouldn't. When you arrive there you soon realize your worst nightmare and slow descent into hell is about to begin. You try to leave but you can't so the only way is to go deeper in the dark creepy  asylum with your camcorder that can be switched to night-vision mode so you can see in the dark and witness all the horror much better.  Your camcorder is going to run out of juice pretty fast during your horror journey so you need to keep your eyes open for some spare batteries. You don't want your camcorder to run out of batteries in a pitch black areas.

You are being stalked by nightmarish creatures which means you have to move like a quiet rat creeping, peeking corners and avoiding them. If you get seen, only thing you can do is run away and try to find a place to hide. The scary thing is once you find a hiding spot it doesn't necessarily mean you are safe. The most frightening monsters are those that you can't kill but have to flee from and it creates an outstandingly creepy atmosphere to this game.

If by some chance you haven't played Outlast i highly recommend it.

I know that outlast II is based on some real event of 1978 Jonestown Massacre, an unusual set of events led to the deaths of 913 people.
