Stellaris

Stellaris goes cheap in the new Humble Monthly bundle.

You have to subscribe to a monthly subscription of 12$  but you can unsubscribe very easily and anytime you want. This means you just pay the $12 and not a penny more if you so choose.

After I receive all my games I just unsubscribe and check the next month's game if it's good I subscribe again.

This is a pretty good offer since Stellaris normally sells for $40 and lowest it's ever gone is $20. Because this is a bundle you get a bunch of other games as well but they will be revealed later on. The real retail value of all bundles is way over $100.

I will be picking this up since it is too good to pass up.

Stellaris is a 4X space grand strategy game developed by Paradox Development Studio. What I have read and heard about the game, many people say it is the best 4X space game on the market at the moment since the new DLC Utopia was released.

If you are interested in strategy games I highly recommend to get it now.

Check it out here humblebundle.com.

steamdb

Do you want to find all the Steam games you are looking for faster and get every little bit of information about the games with ease. Steamdb is a website made in 2012. I'm not sure how well this website is known since I couldn't even find it from Wikipedia.

To the actual point I have used this website years, the reason for this is you can see all the new sales, most played games, recent game releases and games left from early access in the same page and this is just the front page of the website.

When you click any game title it gives you the most detailed information about the game in very simple way.

The website even  has a calculator to calculate total value of your Steam account. I went to steam website and to my profile without logging in and copied the url from the page and paste it to the calculator.

The best feature of the website is the prices tab where you can see the current price and lowest recorded price. You can also see the whole price history of the game. This is a good way to check during daily deals, midweek madness and weekend deals that you are actually paying the lowest amount possible. All this information is available in 29 different currencies.

Go check it out steamdb.

By the way if you are not using steam guard authenticator its time to get it. Keep your account safe.

Influenza & Alien Swarm: Reactive Drop

Hello everyone.

The past 5 days I've been so sick, I  couldn't even get out of my bed, I still have a high fever so I'll make this post a short one,

I was going to write this four days ago but I was too sick so  now is as good time as any. Most of you might already know Alien Swarm: Reactive Drop.

Alien Swarm: Reactive Drop is a free to play, top down, co-op, squad shooter with four classes  and eight unique characters. Unlocking weapons and equipment gives you countless loadout configurations and multiple ways to engage alien encounters.

The game offers eight player tactical Co-op, PvP  modes, dedicated servers and Steam Workshop support.

You can play as Officer, Special Weapons guy, Medic, and Tech. Each class has two selectable characters, with differences in abilities.

This game is great to play with your friends and just chill or try to survive with hardcore mode on and increase the game difficulty and see how long can you survive.

I played the vanilla version of the game long time ago with my friends and it was already great back then but now with 8 player Co-op and Steam Workshop support its excellent free to play game.

Go try it out with your friends. Steam page here.

Path of exile

Reason I'm writing about this is since I got my first PC I have been a huge Diablo fan but after the community totally died in D2 I begun looking for something similar but couldn't find anything until 2012 when I found Path of Exile and joined the closed Beta and was very happy what they had created. Since then I have been playing in almost every new league they release and the game just keeps getting better.

Some of you might be unfamiliar with Path of Exile so here is something for you. Path of exile is an online hack and slash rpg developed and published by Grinding Gear Games. Its totally free to play with ethical micro-transactions, meaning even if you are broke or don't want to pay you can still enjoy the full game without missing anything. Path of exile's micro-transactions offer cosmetic item skins, extra stash tabs and additional character slots.

You control your character from an over head perspective and explore the continent of Wraeclast, which serves as a penal colony for criminals and other unwanted individuals who are exiled from Oriath. You battle  through sandy shores, underground caves, jungles and many dozens of other places gaining experience points and fulfilling quests. The story is actually pretty good if you follow it carefully and the dialogues are well written.

Gameplay

You can choose from 7 classes to play as, Marauder, Templar, Witch, Shadow, Duelist, Ranger and Scion. The class you choose effects where you start from the passive skill tree and what are your core attributes: Strength, Dexterity, or Intelligence. All classes share the same selection of 1,325 passive skills. Each class have their own unique ascendancy skill tree as well. You can choose to play Standard or Hardcore which I always play. Unlike in other games when you die in hardcore you are transferred to  standard and you can still play with your character.

The power of your character is mostly based on how good your gear is and how well you placed your points in the passive skill tree.

Items you find come in different rarities and different number of sockets depending on the item level.

Sockets in items are for active skill gems which will be your main way of attacking or buffing your character in various ways. If I'm not totally wrong there are around 159 active skill gems in the game. There are also 89 support skill gems which will buff your active skill gems in different ways.

Active and support Skill gems are attribute based and have different colors: red,(Strength) Green,(Dexterity) and Intelligence,(blue). Sockets also come with the same attribute colors and only same color gems fits in the same color socket.

Active and support skill gems also have levels from 1-20, gems gain experience while they are equipped in your items and you are slaying monsters. gems can also have quality up to 20% which buffs the skill even more.

The game now has 4 acts and huge amount of end game maps that you can playthrough. There are 3 difficult settings Normal, Cruel, and Merciless. Every time when you beat the game you get to higher difficulty.

Grinding Gear Games are making a new expansion that would add 6 more new acts to the game and one playthrough. No more Cruel and Merciless = less grinding the same places over and over again.

The game is also going to be released on Xbox one later this year.

Its pretty amazing how they mange to keep this game free to play and still add more content all the time.

Good job Grinding Gear Games!!

Go check the game out here. Its also in Steam.

Outlast 2 is out now & spoilers.

Outlast 2 is out now in Steam and GOG.com for 29,99$. To GOG.com click here. Steam click here.

Outlast 2 contains intense violence, gore, graphic sexual content, and strong language. Enjoy.

Lynn Langermann is an investigative journalist seeking the answers behind a pregnant woman murdered under impossible circumstances in rural Arizona. You play as Blake Langermann, her husband, assistant, and cameraman.

Before they can even record an intro for the segment, the helicopter crashes and you get separated from your wife. You begin searching her from near village but soon realize the area is full of some seriously freaky cult followers.

The atmosphere and sound design are excellent. When the creepy music starts its just amazing and the game is seriously terrifying. Every aspect of the game is going to keep you on the edge of your seat. The game is obviously dark but looks very beautiful in dim and fully lit areas.

Same as in the previous game you are not a fighter, you can only run and hide. You have your camcorder with you with a night vision mode but now you also have a microphone that allows you to hear through walls and track sounds. If you point at the freaks you can hear what they are mumbling about, also you can hide in more different places than in the previous game. Environment is much more open in some areas and you can get lost pretty easily. The game also keeps you much more on edge with the open environment and you are most likely going to die multiple times in the game.
Notes that you can find throughout the game are very well written and interesting read.

There are three factions of foes in the game. The Christian cult that feels more like a Satanism because of their blood sacrifices. Heretics, they are different cult that opposes the Christians and live in the mines. Then there are the sculled, outcasts living in the woods.

The location changes in the game are done well and you have a good reason to move forward, to pursue your wife.
The game sometimes suddenly throws you to your old catholic school. These are very well made segments that makes the game even more interesting. You also get to learn what happened in your childhood.

The ending in the game is pretty weird and questions you probably have aren't answered.

There are some seriously heart stopping jump scares in the game. If you are looking for some horror thrills this game is definitely for you and its only  29,99$.

I highly recommend this game.

Getting ready for Outlast 2.

Outlast 2 release is just days away and I'm so excited that I can't wait so I get my head ready for outlast 2 by playing both the Outlast and Whistleblower DLC again. Its been more than a few years since I played both of them.

If you are unfamiliar with the game, outlast is a stealth horror game made just to make the player suffer. You are a reporter who gets a tip from an anonymous informant that something odd is going on at a mountain asylum. Obviously you are going there to investigate, because who wouldn't. When you arrive there you soon realize your worst nightmare and slow descent into hell is about to begin. You try to leave but you can't so the only way is to go deeper in the dark creepy  asylum with your camcorder that can be switched to night-vision mode so you can see in the dark and witness all the horror much better.  Your camcorder is going to run out of juice pretty fast during your horror journey so you need to keep your eyes open for some spare batteries. You don't want your camcorder to run out of batteries in a pitch black areas.

You are being stalked by nightmarish creatures which means you have to move like a quiet rat creeping, peeking corners and avoiding them. If you get seen, only thing you can do is run away and try to find a place to hide. The scary thing is once you find a hiding spot it doesn't necessarily mean you are safe. The most frightening monsters are those that you can't kill but have to flee from and it creates an outstandingly creepy atmosphere to this game.

If by some chance you haven't played Outlast i highly recommend it.

I know that outlast II is based on some real event of 1978 Jonestown Massacre, an unusual set of events led to the deaths of 913 people.

Enjoy

New Call of duty Confirmed for 2017

I heard some rumors that the next Call of duty would set in WWII and it seems now the rumors were true. Activision has provided a first look at art for the game, which you can see above.

Activision announced the WWII themed game today and the game is developed by Sledgehammer Games, the Activision owned studio. Sledgehammer Games is one of three developers working on Call of Duty games in rotation.

Its great to see Call of Duty going back to its roots with a WWII setting and see what kind of new ideas they manage to implement in to the game.

There is no Official release date but some rumors say it will be out November 3.

A full reveal livestream is scheduled for next Wednesday, April 26.
